Which router settings are required?

  1. Same Network: Make sure all devices are connected to the same router and are on the same subnet (e.g., IPs like 192.168.1.x). This ensures they can easily discover and communicate with each other.
  2. AP Isolation: Disable Access Point (AP) Isolation in your router settings. When enabled, AP Isolation prevents devices on the same Wi-Fi network from communicating, which will block local connections between your laptops.
  3. Access Control: Check for MAC address filtering or any other access control feature on your router that may be blocking communication. Ensure all device MAC addresses are either added to an allowlist or that no restrictions are in place to prevent connections.
