PC Fresh provides a range of tuning tools, each designed for specific tasks. The user interface is laid out in a tile design, allowing direct access to the different applications. An additional benefit is the ability to analyze memory usage: for this purpose, we have included the FolderVisualizer tool for free. The following is a brief overview of all the tuning tools.
System Information
The System Information tuning tool gives you a comprehensive overview of your computer’s components. It provides not only detailed hardware information but also details about the installed audio and video codecs. Here, you’ll find plenty of data that might be of interest to you.
Disk Space Consumption
This tuning tool is a standalone version of our FolderVisualizer program and can show you which files or folders are taking up the most space on your hard drive.
Assistant
Based on your answers to the questions, PC Fresh can provide additional or optimized recommendations for configuring your system. The previous answers are based on a system analysis. However, misunderstandings can occur, which you can correct here. Your responses in this questionnaire always take precedence over the recommendations from PC Fresh.
Open With List
The “Open With” list shows you applications that can be used to open a file. This list is also customizable: you can manually add new programs for specific file types or remove entries you no longer need. For example, you can specify that Word documents should be opened with a different application.
Memory Optimizations
Memory Usage provides information about how much of your RAM is being used. Depending on this usage, it may be helpful to free up memory to make room for new resources. You have two options for this: you can either manually free up memory with a click, or set a time interval so that memory cleanup occurs automatically, for example, every 120 minutes.
Explorer Editor
The Explorer Editor allows you to customize navigation in Windows Explorer. You have the freedom to manage entries by adding new ones or removing existing ones.
