It can happen, that during the installation of the TrackingBlocker extension for Mozilla Firefox you will be asked to get Mozilla Firefox first.
This is due to a altered value of the Mozilla Firefox User Agent, an internal value, which describes and provides the browser in more detail. Unfortunately the official Mozilla Add-Ons website is very particular in that case, so you need to reset the value to proceed.
To do this, please conduct the following steps, after you clicked on “Open Firefox Add-ons” in the TrackingBlocker tutorial.
- Open Mozilla Firefox
- Enter “about:config” as URL and confirm the warning dialog.
- Enter “general.useragent.override” into the search field and start the search.
- Now please right click on the “general.useragent.override” entry and choose “Reset” from the context menu.
- Switch to the Add-On website and fresh it or click again on “Open Firefox Add-ons” in AntiBrowserSpy.
