How to use KeyDepot 2016 safes in KeyDepot 2018?
With the update from KeyDepot 2016 to 2018, the structure of the password safe has been changed in order to reach more security and interoperability. In order to use the old safe with the new version, you need to import it.
When you start KeyDepot the first time, you get several options:
Here, you need to choose “… using an older KeyDepot-Version“. You’re forwarded to a dialog to import an existing account.
You are forwarded to the registration.
First, select your safe from the dropdown list and enter your old master password. Additionally, select a new Login-Name in form of an email address. Confirm the dialog by clicking “Done“. You are redirected to the login page again. Here you can use the configured email and the old password to unlock your imported safe
