In order to record successfully from all supported services with Recordify, a browser plug-in is required since version “2018 (3.10)” (or “2018.3.1” in the customer account).
Installing the browser plugin
As browser I use…
Mozilla Firefox
To use Recordify with Mozilla Firefox, the extension must be loaded from the “Firefox Add-ons” directory. To install the extension successfully, the following link must be called in Mozilla Firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/recordify-title-discover/
With a click on the button “Add to Firefox”, the extension can be added to the browser. By clicking on the “Menu” icon and then on “Add-ons” you can open the overview of extensions in Firefox.
Click on “More” to open the details page – the version number should be at least “0.5.xx”.
In addition, the plugin must be activated – in this case, this is indicated by different buttons and the addition “Deactivated” in the title of the plugin.

The browser should now be completely closed and reopened. This concludes the preparations.
Google Chrome or Vivaldi
To use Recordify with Google Chrome or Vivaldi, the extension must be loaded from the “Chrome Web Store”. To successfully install the extension, the following link must be called in Google Chrome or Vivaldi: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/recordify-title-discover/kkgbclpocodjecojibeaaglcgndegljl
With a click on the button “Add”, the plugin can be added to the respective browser. For verification it is sufficient to call the page “chrome://extensions/” in both browsers. An overview should then appear that looks similar to the following:
Click on “Details” to verify the version number.
The plugin should also be active – in this case this is indicated by the blue switch. The following pictures show the plugin once in activated and once in deactivated state:

The browser should now be completely closed and reopened. This concludes the preparations.
Microsoft Edge
Regarding extensions for Edge, Microsoft has a setting in Extensions to “Allow extensions from other stores”.
The quick way to manage extensions is via the address bar and going to the “edge://extensions/” page. Another way is the following:
First, within Microsoft Edge, you need to click on the menu available in the upper right corner.
In the sub-items that open, a click on “Extensions” reveals a smaller, new window. The new window contains a menu item “Manage extensions”.
Clicking on this menu item opens the area for all already installed extensions. Here you can find the required setting, at the bottom left.
By activating the button “Allow extensions from other stores.” opens a security query whether this setting should be applied.
If the security question is accepted by clicking on “Allow”, the switch changes to the “Enabled-State” and is highlighted in blue. If the switch does not change, please refresh the page.
From now on, any extension intended for Chromium-based browsers can be installed via the Google Chrome Store, including the extension for Recordify. The corresponding link is at the bottom of this page.
Other Browsers
Other browsers are not explicitly supported by us. However, experience has shown that chrome-based browsers such as SRWare Iron also work with the Chrome extension. Here it mostly depends on whether the streaming service used supports this browser. The extension can be obtained at the following URL in the Chrome WebStore:
